Camping at Hastings Pt

Nick writing for first time. We decided to head down south of the border. Found ourselves at Hastings Point, btw Kinsciffe & Pottsville. Thought we'd go for couple nights but only ended going one night. (Miranda got a bit cold). Anyways was great to get away from everything & spend some quality time. Pleased to get some sunrise & sunset snaps. We saw about 4 whales migrating north and several dolphin pods.

Bathrooms

This is our dirty, but beautiful new bathroom & ensuite. Ofcourse it does look better in real life.

1 week to go

This week was so busy with both Nick and I moving classrooms. I finished setting up my room today so I feel a little more organised. It is the last week of school for the term and I can't wait for our holiday to start. Yesterday we went down to the bay at Victoria Point and we had a nice time walking along the foreshore and talking. Here is a photo of my wonderful, handsome husband.



Well our tiler started work on our house on Thursday. We went to look at it on Friday but could not get in so we had to take photos through the window so here they are.







These are the photos of the finished bricks and they are not wet anymore so they look a bit better.





House should be getting painted in 1-2 weeks. Floor tiles should be layed 3-4 weeks. Then it is just the fixtures and then all of the checks. Will keep you up to date with any progress. Hope you all have a great week!

Here are the photos of the bricks that didn't work before. These were taken on rainy days. They look a bit different when they are not wet.

We have a kitchen!

We went and did our weekly visit to the house this arvo and to our surprise we had a kitchen and bathroom vanity. It was so exciting. I was kind of scared that the colours wouldn't work together but they lookl great. Here are some photos.

It looks even better in real life. Anyway it was my last day at the primary school today so that was a bit sad. Going to be a big week next week. Any way gotta run. Hope you all have a nice long weekend.

House update!

Just finished and exhausting day of school. My class is relocating to the highschool on Tuesday morning so I was packing up the classroom all day. I feel like sleeping for a week. Got to pack up my house in the next 6 weeks too.

Anyway we went to the house on Tuesday to drop off the shower heads. Despite the rain there had been a bit of progress but we couldn't get inside because it was locked. Here is where it was up to from the outside.





























Well thats it. Hopefully will go out again tomorrow. I hope my kitchen is in. Hope you all have something fun planned for the long weekend.

Our House

As you probably know Nick and I are building a house out at Victoria Point (still in QLD). It has been a bit stressfull at times but is very exciting. Things are hapening very quickly and we hope to be in there by mid August. Thought you might like to see some pictures.

Feeling Sick!

Well i just had a week of work due to a lovely case of acute tonsillitis. I had to visit the doctor 3 times and unfortunately am on antibiotics for the next week. Nick was great, he took special care of me! Feeling much better now and back to work tomorrow. Going to be a busy couple of weeks because i have to finish my reports this week and move my classroom over to the high school next Tuesday. But lets not think about that for now.

I better go and make something for dinner.
